The 4 Hormones You Must Keep In Balance As You Age

Here’s one interesting fact about hormones – as you age, the hormone levels in your body in general decline.

So by the time you reach your mid 30s and early 40s, you can start noticing significant changes in your body. You might find that your not as healthy as you thought you were, your body is just not as robust as it once was and you’re starting to experience some health issues.

For example, you can start gaining weight and feel heavier.

You might feel fatigued, or even exhausted after doing just the usual every day things, let alone doing exercise.

You might not feel as sexy anymore and your libido has declined.

You can suffer with anxiety and perhaps even depression because your life and your health are not where you want them to be.

  1. Estrogen

I worked with women who have suffered from both too little or too much of this hormone, which is also known as oestrogen dominance.

Oestrogen helps protect your bones and heart, as well as maintaining a healthy womb and breasts.

So when it begins to drop as happens with the menopause and it goes too low, then it can potentially cause many different health problems that range from heart disease and osteoporosis through to hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal dryness.

In contrast to this, estrogen dominance can also lead to diseased states and increase your risk of health problems that include certain cancers, ovarian cysts and endometriosis.
