Adrenal fatigue affects a large proportion of the population and if you have hypothyroidism then you can easily fall into that same category.
I personally went from being almost bedridden to reversing my adrenal fatigue, balancing my hormones, including my hypothyroidism and Hashimotos, and living my best life ever.
In fact, after my recovery, I became an avid runner for the first time in my life, completed a marathon distance, then trained for, and competed in a triathlon.
So, what kinds of symptoms can you encounter with adrenal problems and what can you do to aid your recovery and become the person you know you can be with great health and a body to match?
- Not feeling rested first thing in the morning, even after a good night’s sleep
- Generally feeling tired and lethargic
- Hormone imbalances
- Excess weight, especially around the stomach and waist
- Brain fog
- Poor concentration
- Irritability
- Depression and anxiety
- Low body temperature
It’s important to understand that these symptoms can also be related to other health issues as well.
So knowing how to recover your health and reverse adrenal fatigue as well as the associated hormonal imbalance and general malaise that you feel is key.

The first action plan step is to optimize your blood sugar levels.
Don’t fall into the trap of believing carbs are all bad for you and your blood sugar and instead start eating a diet full of fat.
This is a mistake many people make and the real secret is to go low fat and high carb but with healthy carbs like fruits and veggies and other whole food carbs that can help you balance your blood sugar levels.
