So you are struggling with your weight and want to lose weight with the high raw vegan diet (or raw vegan diet) and have seen how it has helped many other people lose weight.
Perhaps you have struggled with your weight for a long time and you just want to deal with it because let’s be honest having extra weight on your body is not fun – in fact it can be depressing.

I have spoken to many women who have struggled with their weight to the point they would hide away in photographs and even cut off their relationships with friends and stay at home, so it can be very debilitating on many levels.

- sleep apnea
- osteoarthritis
- fatty liver disease
- kidney disease
- pregnancy problems, such as high blood sugar during pregnancy, high blood pressure, and increased risk for cesarean delivery (C-section)
The extra fat you have around your midriff is biologically active and causes inflammation in your body.
As science is now understanding inflammation is one of the root causes of ill health and disease in the human body.
So knowing all this the next obvious question is what causes weight gain to happen?
Well there can be a number of factors involved with gaining excess weight and these include:
- Having an underactive thyroid
- Consistent poor quality sleep
- Consistently high stress levels
- Having PCOS
- A body burdened with toxins which get stored away in fat cells if not eliminated
But there are also other reasons as well and diet plays a big part in weight loss.

Now most people believe that as you get older you naturally put on extra weight it’s just part of the aging process, but is this true?
Well if someone is on the SAD or Standard American diet they will be eating a diet that’s high in processed foods and high in fat.
What real difference if any does this make you may ask?
Well what I can say from my own experience eating the raw 80/10/10 diet and the high raw vegan diet, and you can see my raw vegan diet before and after in this video, along with the many clients that we help coach back to health through our coaching, is that changing their meal plan is very important.
Reducing the level of fat in the diet and also removing highly processed foods from the diet can greatly aid with weight loss and your health in general which should always be your first priority and not just simply weight loss.
The type of carbohydrate you consume is also very important and whole-food carbs are your body’s natural fuel and not cookies, cakes, candy bars, sodas, and all the other highly processed sugary foods that undermine your health.
Working with many women of all ages who have excess weight to lose, I can say for sure that when they do lose weight they feel a great sense of relief and joy!
